What is IDIQ?
Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity
An IDIQ is a contract that sets terms, ceiling values, and pre-priced labor categories but doesn't commit to specific work up front. The government then 'calls' work through task or delivery orders over a multi-year ordering period. LOGCAP, AFCAP, SOFGLSS, and OASIS+ are all IDIQs.
Winning an IDIQ seat is the price of admission; the real competition often happens at the task-order level among awarded holders.
Common questions
Does winning an IDIQ guarantee work?
No. An IDIQ award makes you eligible to receive task orders; actual work and revenue come only when the government issues funded orders, which holders frequently compete for.
