IoT Edge Intelligence
Generators, HVAC, and vehicles on AWS IoT Core via Greengrass V2 — telemetry to automatic work orders.
Readiness in austere environments turns on whether you know an asset is failing before it fails. FORGE's IoT edge architecture is built to put Jetson Orin Nano edge devices on generators, HVAC units, and vehicles, connecting them to AWS IoT Core through Greengrass V2 with per-device mTLS X.509 certificates. Device registration and the telemetry ingest path are in place today; the IoT Core provisioning and edge deployment are in active development.
The design delivers real-time telemetry from the equipment that matters, and automatic work-order creation the moment a fault is detected. Computing the reliability picture — MTBF, time-to-failure — from real operating data, not nameplate figures, is what lets maintenance get ahead of the break.

Common questions
FORGE's edge design connects field equipment through Jetson Orin Nano devices that stream telemetry to AWS IoT Core over Greengrass V2, secured with per-device mTLS certificates, and generate work orders automatically when a fault is detected. Device registration and telemetry ingest are built today; IoT Core provisioning and edge deployment are in development.
