What is DCAA?
Defense Contract Audit Agency
DCAA is the agency that audits the costs of defense contractors on behalf of the government. It reviews accounting systems, incurred-cost submissions, timekeeping, and rates to ensure costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable. A passing DCAA posture is a prerequisite for cost-reimbursable work.
DCAA touches everything cost-related — especially timekeeping and incurred-cost (ICE) submissions. Findings can delay payment or disallow cost.
In FORGEFORGE captures labor, parts, and overhead at the work-order level to keep records audit-ready, with DCAA-locked cost events.
